Bosburcht is looking for a creative marketing intern to join the team. As a marketing intern, you’ll become part of a small, young and creative organization based in Amsterdam. You’ll work on a broad spectrum of marketing activities.

You’ll be part of building the festival from the inside out. From content to campaigns, you’ll help shape how Bosburcht shows up in the online and offline world.

the role

- Brainstorm and execute marketing strategies
- Managing and growing our socials 
- Creating content
- Managing the media team during the festival
- Keep our website fresh and functional
- Supporting the overall brand and marketing direction
- Being part of the journey leading up to the festival and, when needed, contributing to other departments of the organization

who you are

- You live festivals, music and creative culture
- You have a background in Marketing, Communications, Media, or something similar
- You have a strong feel for social media and online culture
- You’re creative, proactive and comfortable taking initiative
- You know how to translate ideas into high-quality digital assets and designs
- You’re looking for an internship (not a graduation thesis)
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- Experience in event-marketing is a plus

(creative) production intern

Bosburcht is looking for a hands-on production intern to join our team. You’ll become part of a small, young and creative organization based in Amsterdam, working closely with our production team on everything that goes into making a festival happen.You’ll be involved in the production from the early plans and spreadsheets all the way to the festival site.

THE ROLE

As part of the production team, you’ll help turn plans into an actual festival. Your responsibilities will grow throughout the internship and can include:

- Support build-up, festival days, and breakdown, including transport and site logistics
- Coordinate crew, volunteers, and partners, handling briefings and accreditation
- Solve ad-hoc problems and manage on-site challenges
- Draft run sheets, production schedules, checklists, and action lists
- Coordinate operational teams
- Request quotes, track orders, and source site materials and tools
- Solving the many small (and occasionally very random) problems that come with building a festival

You’ll also support the operational side of our creative production. This can include:

- Translating creative plans into production schedules and align creative and production teams
- Processing requests from creative teams for materials, equipment, and accreditation
- Taking part in creative meetings and execute action items

who you are

- You live festivals, music and creative culture
- You’re studying Event Management, Production, Leisure, Hospitality or something similar.
- You’re organized and enjoy keeping an overview when a lot of things are happening at once
- You’re practical, proactive and comfortable taking initiative
- You like solving problems rather than waiting for someone else to solve them
- You’re comfortable working with spreadsheets, schedules and checklists
- You don't mind switching between a laptop, a phone call with a supplier and getting your hands dirty on site
- You can work independently, but also know when to ask questions
- You’re looking for an internship (not a graduation thesis)
- Dutch and English language skills are preferred
- A driving licence is a big plus
- Experience in festivals, events, hospitality or production is a plus, but definitely not required

artist handling intern

Bosburcht is looking for an artist handling intern to join our team. You’ll become part of a small, young, and creative organization based in Amsterdam, working closely with our programming team on everything that goes into managing our line-up. You’ll be involved in the artist logistics from the early contracts all the way to welcoming the artists on the festival site.

THE ROLE

- Chasing and organizing all artist details, from technical riders to hospitality requirements.
- Being the face of Bosburcht backstage: greeting artists, managing their set times, and ensuring a warm, stress-free backstage experience.
- Booking flights, hotels, and arranging smooth ground transport for our lineup.
- Collaborating with our marketing team to find cool, credible ways to highlight the lineup on our channels.
- Keeping our spreadsheets sharp and assisting with the backend flow of artist contracts and invoices.
- Supporting the core programming team with daily operations and fast-paced problem-solving.

who you are

- You have a genuine passion for electronic music, festivals and creative culture.
- You work in a structured, organized way and can comfortably operate independently.
- You’re completely comfortable working with spreadsheets, contracts, and advancing checklists.
- You are not afraid to pick up the phone to check in with managers and booking agents.

THE ROLE

As our marketing manager, you will be the architect of our public image, ensuring Bosburcht stands out in a crowded festival landscape through high-level strategy and creative delivery. Your core responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and timeline leading up to the festival.
- Lead the development of our visual identity and festival artwork, collaborating closely with creators and designers.
- Create and implement a marketing community plan to build a deep, year-round loyalty among our audience.
- Refine and oversee our online presence, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our brand standards.
- Manage the master planning for all campaigns, ensuring seamless execution across all channels (online & offline).
- You will lead a marketing intern and work closely with the festival leads.

who you are

You are an experienced professional who thrives on autonomy and enjoys the challenge of building something authentic from the ground up.
- Proven track record in a senior marketing role, ideally within the festival, music, or creative industries.
- You can pivot from high-level budget management and planning to creative brainstorming with artists and designers.
- You understand how to build brands and have an intuitive feel for electronic music culture trends.
- Fluent in English and Dutch

volunteers

Location: Kasteel de Berckt, Baarlo
Commitment: 8+ hours
Dates: between 18-24 November

Bosburcht is built by volunteers, and we want you on our team! Help us during build-up, the show, or breakdown to earn your weekender ticket and enjoy a fantastic festival weekend with an amazing crew. During your working days, we’ve got you covered with delicious crew meals and after work drinks with the team. If you work extra days, we will reward you with credit on a cash card to spend at the bars during the event.
